To create a Section, select the Section tool from the Main toolbar and draw the section line. If you draw from left to right the section will face upwards, while drawing in the opposite direction will result in the section facing downwards.
Once the Section line is in place, a corresponding View is created. Open up the View palette to see a list of all the views that in the project. Tapping the section view opens up the Section in the 2D view. (Double-tapping allows you to edit the name or delete the section.)
By default Sections have a depth of 50m, you can adjust this depth using the Section settings:
When the Section line is selected you can see the depth graphically.
Elevations
You can create an elevation in exactly the same way as you create a Section, you simply make sure the "cut" line doesn't cut through the building.
Edit Section Line
If you need to change the position and/or size of your Section you can do this by selecting the Section line and using the Vector editor to reposition the Nodes.
You can also use the Drag tool to move a Section line.
Note: to select Sections you need to have the Section tool active.
Delete Section
To delete a Section, select the section line in the Plan view by tapping it, then double-tap on the Delete icon in the Main toolbar.
Note: to select Sections you need to have the Section tool active.
Alternatively you can double-tap the section view in the View palette and delete the view (and reference line).
