To help you work efficiently Codesign has defined selection logic based on taps, double-taps and sometimes even triple-taps!
The selection logic is also linked to the active tool to provide fine grain controlled.
Selection in the 2d window requires finger taps, while the 3d can use pencil or finger tapping.
Standard Logic
Except in the special cases described below the following logic applies to the 2d and 3d view:
- Single tap - Select entire floor (or item in the case of Surrounding Buildings and Planning Zones)
- Double tap - Select entire building
Spaces
Spaces and the Space tool are part of our paid subscription plans.
To select Spaces in your model you need to have the Space tool active.
With the Space tool active the following selection logic applies to the 2d view:
- Single tap - Select space
- Double tap - Select entire floor
- Triple tap - Select entire building
For the 3d view, the standard logic above applies, except if you have Spaces showing, in which case the "triple-tap" 2d logic applies.
Sites and Sections
As Sites and Sections commonly overlap with other model elements by default these are not select-able. This makes it easy for you to select and edit the main elements in your design.
To select a Site or Section, you need to switch to the applicable tool, ie Sites are select-able when the Site tool is active, and Sections when the Section tool is active.
