Briefing is part of our paid subscription plans.
Once you've created your project Brief and assigned the Requirements to your model you can use the Brief report to see how well your design matches the brief.
Open the Reports view from the View toolbar and use the dropdown menu on the top-right to select the Brief report.
The report provides a summary of the project showing all requirements and whether they are met or not.
You can use the check-box in the top left to only show the parts of the model that don't meet the project requirements.
Usage-base brief
If your project is using a Usage-based brief you will have a high-level run down showing you each Requirement, along with the model area and the required area.
- Green is all good
- Red means the area is 5% under or over the required area.
Space-type brief
When using a Space type brief you are still presented with a grouped and summarised report based on the Requirements.
In addition to the area check, the number of spaces/zones are also checked.
The same rules are used as above:
- Green is all good
- Red means the area is 5% under or over the required area.
All green but requirements not met?
With a Space-type brief it is possible that both the Required Count and Required Area match perfectly, but the individual spaces are not actually meeting their requirements!
For example, assume we want 3x 30m2 Spaces, and our project has:
1x Space 34m2
1x Space 28m2
1x Space 25m2
The total count and area are fine, but only one Space is meeting the requirements.
When this happens the Space icon turns red.
Clicking the icon expands the report to show the items that are contributing to that requirement and how they each meet (or not) the requirements:
