Usage Types are used to determine the different usages across Buildings and Zones within the project.
At this stage Usage Types concentrate on area calculations but these will be expanded allowing for other properties to be shown and also for additional calculations to be performed (average rental values, car parking calculations etc)
Managing Usage Types
Creating custom usage types is part of our paid subscription plan.
There are a series of default Usage Types created when a new project is created and you can add/edit these as required to suit different design types via Project Settings.
Note: You cannot delete a Usage Type that is currently applied to the Model.
Include (exclude) in Reports
You can choose to exclude an entire Usage Type from reports. By default all Usage Types are included.
Once you have customized your Usage types you can save these as a template for new projects.
