Clicking the Cog button in the Primary toolbar opens up the Project Settings:
You can use Templates to store pre-configured settings that you want to access on all (or specific) projects.
Main
The main tab allows you to enter key details:
- Location of your project. This location is used for Importing context and Sun studies.
- The Brief section allows you to define the type of Brief you are using (Usage or Space type based).
- Sketchbook allows you to define the default style and output size.
- Units control the units used for this project (these can be different form your standard App units)
Location Settings
Within the location settings you will see three site-related settings:
- Site Area - you can enter the site area, so reports that require this for calculations have the value. Once you create a site, this value is ignored.
- Maximum FAR - enter the maximum FAR value so the reports can show you how your building performs
- Maximum Building Coverage - enter the maximum coverage percentage so the reports can show you how your building performs
Design options
You can manage all your Design options on the second tab.
Cladding systems
The various Cladding systems defined in your project are able to renamed / deleted on this tab.
Usage Types
This views list the current Usage types within the Project.
You can use the Edit button to select an existing Usage Type to update the name and/or colour. Or you can use the Delete button to remove it.
Creating custom usage types is part of our paid subscription plan.
Space types
Spaces types are part of our Codesign Pro subscription plan.
Use this view to create and edit Space types for your project. You can also import and export space types for use in other projects, and/or create templates pre-populated with space types to save time.
