The import/export of Space types is part of our Professional subscription plan.
Space types provide you with immense power when it comes to creating and manage your project briefs.
Having spent time setting your Space groups and types up it is obvious you don't want to repeat this exercise!
Import / Export
Space types are accessible via the Project Settings.
Use the commands in the Import/export menu to create an export of your Space groups and types
In a new project, use the import function to bring in your previously export Space groups and types so you can focus on your new brief
Example files
To help accelerate your experience we've created a series of templates that you can download and import into your projects:
Even if these templates don't match the type of work you undertaken you may find it useful to use these while learning how the Briefing system works.
Import / Export format
You may already have templates for Space groups and types that you have used from other systems that you want to import into Spaces.
The import format is a simple CSV format.
The file expects the following headers:
- Type - expects either "SPACEGROUP" or "SPACETYPE"
- Code - an optional code for Space types
- Name - name of type or group
- Group - the group the type belongs too (can be empty)
- Area - the standard area for this type
- Colour - the hexadecimal colour code eg #rrggbb
Again, you can download one of the above examples so you can see the required format.
